Course Overview
The Accounting Systems and Controls course provides students with an understanding of the importance of internal controls, and develops the skills to evaluate company accounting systems and make appropriate recommendations for improvements. Upon completion students will be able to:
- Display an understanding of the role and responsibilities of the accounting function within an organisation
- Understand the importance and uses of internal control systems
- Evaluate accounting systems and procedures, and identify potential improvements
- Analyse recommendations made to improve internal controls and accounting systems
