What Is the CIMA E1 Paper?

Managing Finance in a Digital World (E1) is the Enterprise pillar paper at CIMA Operational level. It covers the role of the finance function in the digital era, organisational structures, technology in finance, and data management. E1 is the most conceptual of the Operational level papers and does not require heavy calculation skills.

Exam Format

E1 is a 90-minute objective test with 60 questions (2 marks each). All questions are multiple choice or multiple response. Pass mark is typically around 70% (CIMA uses a scaled pass mark). The exam is available on demand at Pearson VUE test centres.
