OVERVIEW

About the ACCA Strategic Professional Level

The ACCA Strategic Professional exams prepare students for future leadership positions. They develop the strategic vision using your unique blend of technical, ethical and professional skills. And you can specialise in areas that best suit your career ambitions. 

There are essential and optional courses within the Strategic Professional level, and to complete the qualification you must complete both essential courses and two of the four optional courses.

Essential Courses:

• Strategic Business Reporting (SBR)
• Strategic Business Leader (SBL)

Optional Courses (two need to be completed):

• Advanced Financial Management (AFM)
• Advanced Audit and Assurance (AAA)
• Advanced Taxation (ATX)
• Advanced Performance Management (APM)

As a qualified ACCA member you will have the options to work in any size or type of firm, and have a qualification that is recognized globally, in more than 180 countries.

With the ACCA Qualification you can specialise in one area of accountancy, eg audit or tax, with a small firm of accountants or one of the big accountancy firms. Or you may wish to work in a consultancy role, provide financial information and advice, or manage the finances of a large multinational company.

On average it takes around 3 years to complete the full ACCA qualification, depending on your split of work and study throughout that time. ACCA has a ten year time limit, from the date of registration, for you to complete the exam component.
