About the AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting

The AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting (qualification number 603/6337/X) contains four mandatory units, 400 guided learning hours and 620 total qualification hours.

Business Awareness covers organisations, ethics, technology and the external business environment. Financial Accounting: Preparing Financial Statements develops financial accounting skills. Management Accounting Techniques covers costing, budgets and decision-making. Tax Processes for Businesses covers VAT, payroll and related compliance.

Each unit has its own computer-based assessment. There is no separate Level 3 qualification synoptic assessment under Q2022. Completing Level 3 makes you eligible to apply separately for AATQB bookkeeping membership and prepares you for Level 4.
