By accessing or using the Service, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. We retain personal information according to the following schedules:
5.1 General Account Data
General personal data (name, email, contact details) is retained for 90 days to 2 years after account termination, or as needed to fulfil the purposes outlined in this policy.
5.2 CPD Programme Records (NASBA-Compliant Retention)
In accordance with the requirements of the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) and Learnsignal’s CPD accreditation obligations, the following records are retained for a minimum of five (5) years from the date of programme completion or certificate issuance:
- Learner registration and enrolment records for each CPD programme.
- Records of learning activities completed, including dates of access and completion.
- Assessment results, quiz scores, and any examination records.
- Certificates of completion issued to learners.
- Attendance records for live webinars or 1-to-1 sessions forming part of a CPD programme.
- Records of credit hours awarded per learner per programme.
This five-year minimum retention period applies regardless of whether the learner’s account remains active. Where longer retention periods are required by applicable law, regulatory obligation, or accreditation body requirement, the longer period shall apply.
5.3 Other Data
Certain information may be retained for longer periods for legitimate reasons, such as legal compliance, fraud prevention, or record-keeping. Anonymous or aggregate information may be stored indefinitely.
6. 1-to-1 Student/Tutor Sessions
As part of our commitment to delivering a high-quality educational experience, Learnsignal may offer one-to-one live sessions between students and tutors. These sessions are recorded to support learning and internal training purposes.
How Recordings Are Used
- Recordings are only accessible to the individual student who participated in the session for review purposes.
- Recordings may be used internally by Learnsignal for staff training and quality assurance.
- They are never shared with other students, third parties, or the public.
- They will not be used for marketing or promotional purposes without your explicit, written consent.
Your Rights In Relation to 1-to-1 Recordings
- You may request access to your session recording.
- You may request deletion of a recording after the session, subject to any legal or operational requirements.
These recordings are stored securely in GDPR-compliant systems. Where a 1-to-1 session forms part of a CPD programme, attendance and completion records derived from the session are subject to the 5-year NASBA retention requirement described in Section 5.2 above, even if the underlying recording is deleted at your request.
7. Your Rights
Subject to applicable laws, you have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete your personal data.
- Restrict or object to the processing of your data.
- Request data portability.
- Withdraw consent for data processing.
- Lodge complaints with relevant authorities.

Please note that certain data — including CPD programme completion records subject to our 5-year retention obligation under Section 5.2 — cannot be deleted prior to the expiry of the applicable retention period, even upon request.
